Creamy purple that’s not too pink or too blue. Definitely see the colour in store as it’s slightly different on screen. The polish itself is easy to apply like all Essie nail polishes.

I love nail polish can only get my colour play date. The shops don’t stock it.

I have several polishes from Essie, but Play Date is my favorite. It is this beautiful lilac-lavender shade that almost seems to have an "inner glow" if that is possible with a nail color. The formula is lovely and two coats is all that you need for an opaque, streak-free finish. It seems to last a bit longer than some other polishes in the same price range, too. Used with a base coat and a chip-free top coat, the polish will last about a week (at least that has been my experience.) What I love most about this color though is that it is subtle but cute, and it has that "inner glow" thing going on that gives it that extra little something. It is also a great color with a tan or without a tan which is nice when you want something pastel for spring, but are just coming out of winter. I would definitely repurchase this color!

medium lilac/lavendar/orchid; great colour but cannot wear to conservative environment which is 5 out of 7 days Pros: - good with one coat but no streaks after two coats - pastel alternative - for parties, summer BBQ, casual everyday Cons: - may be too bright for conservative work environment - bit on the costly side

One of Essie's best. Unlike some of their shades, this is not watery and it's not streaky. I can easily achieve opacity, and the color is just so pretty. It looks great with a tan but it also works on my pale, coming-out-of-winter skin, so it's a lovely shade to segue into spring with. This seems to look nice on almost anyone. The color has a bit more pop than a lot of lavender/lilac shades. Subtle enough to wear to work, but cute enough for casual, summer stuff. A winner for sure.
