Velbon Ex-macro Tripod Noir

This is not a rock solid bombproof heavy duty tripod. But it is an excellent handy lightweight portable table top tripod suitable for full size binoculars, compacts, and DSLRs with modest lenses. Very solid for what it is. I bought one to try and then bought a second one. I keep one on a table at a window in my home for bird watching with binos. The legs can be independently splayed outward.

I wanted something for a spotting scope and this will be perfect. The different leg setting means I can also use it elsewhere.

I've been looking for something between a full-sized tripod and a table top for a while now and this one is perfect. It's made with plastic and metal so that it's very light weight and is less than half the size of my regular tripod but sturdy enough to easily handle my camera with the largest/heaviest lens I have. I like the bracing in between the legs and the fully functional ball head which will allow me to do something like astrophotography or long exposures which I couldn't do reliably with the table top due to the limited functionality of its ballhead. I chose the 3-way pan over the 2-way. For the tiny difference in weight/cost, it's well worth it to have it do everything my regular tripod ballhead can do. (I tried to post photos but it wouldn't submit)

Haven't had the chance to set this tripod up and use it yet but the build quality is satisfactory for the price and should suffice for the intended use (table set-up for Vlogging). Light weight and very functional and versatile features.

Wanted a small tripod for travel. This does the job perfectly. Fits into my carryon, doesn't weigh much and supports my camera for some stellar low light shots!
