A lens to be used, and used again, if maybe not carried around day long, as it is BIG, and not a little front-heavy. I have used mine for years, and not a single issue, not even a speck of dust inside, in sharp contrast to my newer 100-400 C, while its sharpness isn\'t far behind, it definitely is NOT dust-proof. The 60-600 S is the lens it should be compared to, and that is, according to all sources I have, a step up in every way, and it also has a macro mode, imagine that. And a 10x zoom, who would mind that?!

First Art lens I have purchased and it is worth the additional cost. I can see a difference in the quality of the pictures it produces.

Bought this lens from another vendor and was very unhappy with it. Couldnt get sharp pictures even with adjustments. Stabilization wasnt very smooth and noisy. Bought the Canon 100-400 and used my 1.4x converter to replace it for a while. I keep reading about how great this lens was and with the new 60-600 coming out and comparing it to this lens the opinion seemed to be that this was still a great lens. So I bought it from B&H and put it right on the camera out of the box and Wow I was immediately impressed with how sharp this one was and how well the OS worked. Guess my first one was a dud. I would say optically it is slightly ahead of the Canon with the 1.4x converter attached. Considering the 105mm cost of a good UV filter and Circ Polarizer the cost is about the same for either. They each have pros and cons so I will keep and use both based on the circumstances of the wildlife. I rate it 4 stars because it took 2 copies to get a good one.

Knew going in that this lens was heavy and not very fast...with that being said,I am very impressed with this sigma! Super sharp at all focal lengths and I can bump up my iso on the d850 to compensate for no f4 or 2.8 and still get stunning shots. And I like the 150-600mm range for different shots. If you have the money, spend triple for a 2.8 lens,if your like most people though, save the money and get this lens,it will not disappoint!

Wish I would have got this set-up a long time ago. Have taken many pictures with it and have been very happy with all the results.
