Sturdy

Combined mine with an Oben BC-139 head and have been using both for over three years. Has travelled all over northern California and Oregon on the back of my Harley and no problems and still looks good! Holds my Canon 5d MK II from light lenses to my 600mm with no problems.

Well built and sturdy

I take landscapes and I needed a sturdy and durable tripod. I had gone through a couple of cheaper (but lighter) models, and found them lacking in performance. I opted to pair this tripod with a Manfrotto XPRO Magnesium Ball Head. The built quality is very good. The legs lock and move very nicely. The material is also durable. The tripod and head had no problem at all supporting my Nikon D750 and heavier wide angle and telephoto lenses. The only issue I have is the weight of the tripod and head. But, I knew it would not be a light combination. I will have to do a cost benefit analysis about bringing this tripod along on some of my hikes and backpack trips. I highly recommend this tripod.

Revise previous review

I wrote a review a week or so ago bemoaning the quality of the legs. After less than 6 months one leg wont lock. I was frustrated that I was not warranted due to my failing to register the product. I had contacted Manfrotto about the issue. When its all said and done, Manfrotto did what they did not have to do and shipped me a new leg for the tripod. I must say that Im still concerned about a new part that breaks in less than 6 months but having worked in manufacturing, I do understand how one mistake on a part can give the impression that all parts must be junk. One bad part does NOT mean, despite my earlier statement regarding the quality, that the whole or other products from Manfrotto are junk. It means I got a product with one bad leg and that has since been rectified. Manfrotto, to their credit, stepped up and delivered exceptional customer service. Thank you, Manfrotto!

I just wished it could be taller

Im absolutely in love with my 190go! and I bought it knowing it stands only at 58 inches. The fact that Im a tall person makes my case to look for a taller tripod but I took the 190go! on at a special price and Im using it full-time. I will probably buy another (taller) tripod soon, and keep the 190go for travel purposes (it performs well as a travel tripod, even when its much heavier than usual travel-specific tripods, but I prefer stability over lightweight).

Quality, but expensive

I like this tripod a lot. I bought it to fit in a suitcase during an upcoming photo-heavy trip. The four segments in each leg and lighter weight material result in a tripod that is not as stable as a larger Manfrotto tripod that I got several years ago from B&H. But... this one is shorter when collapsed, has a handy hook for a weight, and a has a clever twisty gadget that flips the riser to horizontal (impossible to describe, you have to see it to understand it). My only complaint is that its expensive. If it lasts a few years it will be worth it but its too early to tell now.
