Manfrotto 038 Super Clamp Noir

Extremely well built doubld super clamp. Very useful for alternate mounting options of your lighting or video equipment. I use it with a monopod clamped onto a railing to have another secure way of mounting my camcorders without anybody tripping over it, compared to a traditional tripod mounted camcorder, where the legs of the tripod is very much susceptible to someone tripping over the legs of it.

Strong clamp you will need a couple stud adapters if you want all degrees of rotation.

This will be perfect to secure my gear on a monopod on an upcoming trip to South Africa! Extremely solid!

I ordered two and B&H was nice enough to automatically send me a left and right, thank you! I know someone in another review mentioned that the two clamps were joined by two small screws and they didn't think that was as strong of a connection as it could be, so they ordered the stud as well. Frankly, these clamps only have a rating of something like 33 pounds (it's on the clamp and I'm going from memory). The screws are most likely more than adequate for that and you sort of have to remind yourself that even though the jaws look like something that could be used for a lot of weight, it's really not supposed to be used for more than the rated weight.

This is an easy to operate double clamp. I bought it for use with a monopod to secure it to a railing and it works great. The safety lock button for the attachments is also a nice feature.
