I needed a relatively small, compact, lightweight video head to pair with my Fuji X-T3 rig and this one fits the bill. I could spend hundreds more, but the compact size of the S4 makes it perfect to mount not only atop my larger Bogen tripod, but also onto my small MeFoto travel tripod as well. The supplied mounting plate is quite large for attaching a mirrorless camera to; I have put ARCA mounting plates on each of my bodies, and purchased a PM501 Pro Media gear quick release plate ( B&H#PRPM501 MFR#PM501) that works perfectly. Only modification I had to make was to loosen and then re-align the plate tightening knob so it wouldnt interfere with a camera attached to the quick-release plate. Great solutions from B&H.

The ball at the feet is not smooth enough, even after loosing the bolts and putting oil on it. The locking mechanism comes loose after every shoot. The rubber bands between each lock keeps moving and interfering with my workflow.

Very nice monopod. It is pretty big though, if you want a small monopod to carry around this is not the one for you. The head is smooth, and the locks on the leg work good. I like the foot although you need to make sure it is locked if you want to be straight up and down, also make sure that it is tightened up well if you shoot using the monopod as a boom or it will cause vibrations. Getting great jib like shots using this with the Crane 2 gimbal.

An excellent product, every detail is perfectly designed to work for your advantage. Price a bit high but worth.

Great little set up for run and gun with light rigs. This is much better than Manfrotto, and I think it lies more in the level of Sachtler. Very nice bag included with tools too.
