The phone is very good quality. It doesn't feel cheap or flimsy. I like the display contrast, despite not being an OLED type display. It has a decent enough camera and sound for everyday use. There is plenty of storage for apps, photos and other media. The phone updated to Android 15 after a few key security patches. I'm disappointed to find so much unnecessary upselling from the phone manufacturer. I have switched off many of these adverts and automatic app installs, many of which are games. I did not expect the extra advertising to be quite so persistent. Overall, happy with the phone but feeling let down by the software.

I purchased this to replace my Moto G8 Power which I bought 5 years ago and was actually still going well. I was looking for phones with an E Sim capability and this popped up as a similar phone but improved specs. The ease of transfer to the new phone was excellent. The phone was a great upgrade with regards to storage capacity and RAM The only immediate negative I noticed was an inferior battery. Even with my 5 year old Moto- the battery needed a charge every three days whereas this barely lasts two days. This is a great shame considering the battery is brand new. Other than this- all good so far

It would seem in some four years Android smartphones have gone ahead in leaps and bounds. I have swapped from a lowly model produced by a certain Korean firm to this Moto g55 5G and the changes are surprisingly. Yet to see any downsides. All aspects of performance are superior, particularly Wi-fi where I only very recently determined the old phone couldn't see a wi-fi broadcasting only on 5Ghz. Plenty of storage, excellent bright screen image and hence the touchscreen seems to work quite a bit better. Having 5G connectivity is another big plus point. And all for much the same price as my Samsung nearly 4 years ago. Also, you get the newest release of Android and its associated security features.
