The De Walt hedge trimmer sets up very easily and is easy to use. The angle adjustment for the blade is easy to use, it would be even better if it had a rotation option. The cutting blade was very effective, but at long reach would struggle to cut through thicker stems.

Good quality pole hedge clippers. I already had DeWalt batteries so it was good to be able to buy the tool alone. They cut well. The only drawback with all electric cutters is that the weight of the motor is close to the blades rather than at the handle end. This makes it a bit harder to balance. For low jobs I’m going to see if I can move the bracket for the harness a bit further up the pole. I got about one hours pretty constant use from a fully charged 5 Amp battery, which is quite a lot of hedge and enough for me to need a rest, so pretty good for our large garden, especially as I have two batteries.
