La Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 5 5G est une tablette robuste, idéale pour une utilisation extérieure et les environnements exigeants. L'écran lumineux de 8 pouces est bien visible au soleil et le S Pen fonctionne parfaitement. La batterie amovible et le mode sans batterie sont pratiques pour une utilisation prolongée. Les performances sont moyennes et le son limité par un seul haut-parleur. Les appareils photo sont modestes et l'USB 3.0 manque, donc pas de support pour écran externe. Le prix est élevé, mais la longue prise en charge logicielle et la 5G en font un choix fiable pour les professionnels.

Very smooth navigation and use, power available and you can feel it, accurate geolocation, satisfactory battery life, a battery so easy to change that a three-year-old child could do it... two small downsides: the rather bulky case, which I think is essential to reach a high level of durability (but this eliminates the need for increased protection), and the price of course.

I bought the device to use for navigation om my motorcycle. Display is not bright enough in sunlight, I need to angle the screen to shade as much as possible. I find the GPS loses position frequently and coupled with poor battery performance the Active 5 has not met my expectations. On the plus side it seems to get regular software updates and appears to be durable so far after around 18 months of use.

I have deployed almost 600 of these this year alone all over the UK. For what you get they are a pretty good Tablet. The ruggedness of it, the replaceable battery are all helpful in a busy work environment. We wished the device was faster at booting up as this causes crews to get frustrated. We are very happy about the dimensions being the same as the previous model. This has allowed us to reuse our charge cradles from the last devices, do keep this for the next model. The size of the screen is great for our crews to use as it's not too small to see the wording from the vehicles seat but it's also not too big to be a distraction or obstruction.

It's a good touch tablet that's easy to get up and running, a bit different from other Android tablets - it takes a bit of getting used to - and with the 1GB SDC you've got plenty of storage and with 5G you've got speed. At home I use it as a Box between the PC, the printer and other equipment. Now we'll have to see how waterproof it is in the rain.
