Le Yamaha MG16 est apprécié pour ses préamplis D-PRE très propres et son faible bruit, ce qui donne des voix et instruments clairs et pleins. Son châssis métallique solide et son alimentation universelle interne plaisent aux groupes et prestataires qui cherchent une console live fiable. Les quatre envois AUX et les quatre groupes offrent une grande flexibilité pour les retours et les effets externes. Il faut toutefois garder à l’esprit qu’il n’y a ni effets intégrés ni enregistrement USB, il faudra donc du matériel supplémentaire pour cela. Il n’y a pas non plus de vrais boutons mute par canal, et la console est assez volumineuse, ce qui peut gêner en cas de déplacements fréquents ou de manque de place.

Bought to accompany a pair of Yamaha DBR15 powered speakers. The speakers already sounded great but when used with this mixer the matching was perfect and the sound was fantastic. The mixer does a good job a mixing a 7-piece rock band, with a good balanced sound. It's easy to use and reasonably well spec'd for the price. The built in effects are very mediocre, some have little effect even when set to max. Most are a bit gimmicky as well. Basic reverb etc is ok though and that's all I need to use. The compressor on mic inputs is a welcome addition. It hasn't been used enough to establish the effectiveness of it yet though! Overall, for the price it's a a great sounding, well built board. I don't regret the choice over the huge number of alternatives in this price bracket!

Great unit. Lots of features for a mixer this size. The plate reverb is excellent. Be careful with the rackmount screws, the heads are a little soft...make sure you find a screwdriver with an exact fit. Also note that there isn't a massive amount of choice for bags and cases for this model

We didn’t need fancy processing just simple live mixing in a church and operation by non sound geeks. This works a treat for us
