La Yamaha MG12XU reprend les atouts de la MG10XU mais ajoute davantage de canaux et d’options de routage. Avec jusqu’à six entrées micro, plusieurs canaux stéréo et deux bus de groupe, elle est appréciée des groupes et petites salles qui ont besoin de plus de souplesse. Les utilisateurs apprécient les préamplis D-PRE bien connus, qui offrent encore une fois un son clair et peu bruyant. La combinaison des effets SPX intégrés et de la compression à un seul bouton sur les canaux clés permet d’obtenir rapidement un son live exploitable sans beaucoup de matériel externe. Le châssis métallique solide et les composants fiables sont souvent cités comme raisons pour lesquelles la MG12XU supporte bien un usage intensif en tournée et sur scène. En contrepartie, son format et son poids sont nettement supérieurs à ceux de la MG10XU, ce qui la rend moins pratique comme solution ultra-compacte. L’interface USB reste limitée à 2 entrées/2 sorties, ce qui restreint l’enregistrement multipiste sérieux. Ce modèle utilise également des potentiomètres plutôt que des faders de canal, ce qui ne convient pas à tous les techniciens. Pour l’acheteur qui a surtout besoin de plus de canaux et de groupes en live et qui privilégie la fiabilité à la mobilité maximale ou aux fonctions USB avancées, la MG12XU est largement saluée.

As far as I can see so far it’s fabulous, I’m a newbie to this stuff so I’m not the best to comment on everything yet. So far sound quality is excellent and does what it says on the tin. Maybe a true idiots guide/video or comprehensive glossary would helpful for newbies. Help be a little more inclusive for those learning. Delivery company were not good and left my equipment in an abandoned shop doorway, was just lucky I found it. Obviously that’s not the fault of the retailer

I needed a mixer with many stereo inputs as well as enough inputs for my other gear. This checks all the boxes. It’s easy to use, has no unwanted noise, and fits in with the setup. zZounds makes it happen! Musical Background: Many bands. Eclectic music. 20+ years. Musical Style: Grew up on rock, punk, hip hop, and metal. Evolved into world music. Still play everything.
