La Yamaha MG12 est souvent choisie pour sa fabrication solide et sa fiabilité en répétition comme sur scène. Les préamplis D‑PRE sont réputés pour leur faible bruit et leur son neutre, ce qui offre une base propre pour les voix et instruments. De nombreux utilisateurs apprécient la compression à un seul bouton sur les premiers canaux, qui permet de contrôler rapidement les crêtes sans réglages complexes. La console propose aussi des fonctions pratiques pour le live, comme une alimentation interne universelle, des sorties XLR principales verrouillables et deux bus AUX avec groupes, ce qui facilite la gestion des retours et sous‑mixes. En contrepartie, cette version MG12 ne dispose pas d’effets intégrés, il faut donc un appareil externe pour la reverb ou le delay. L’EQ de canal est utile mais moins sophistiqué que sur certains modèles concurrents. De plus, il n’y a que quatre véritables canaux mono mic/line, ce qui peut être limitant pour les groupes avec beaucoup de micros. Pour les acheteurs qui recherchent surtout une table analogique stable et peu bruyante sans besoin d’effets intégrés, la MG12 reste un choix sûr et pratique.

As far as I can see so far it’s fabulous, I’m a newbie to this stuff so I’m not the best to comment on everything yet. So far sound quality is excellent and does what it says on the tin. Maybe a true idiots guide/video or comprehensive glossary would helpful for newbies. Help be a little more inclusive for those learning. Delivery company were not good and left my equipment in an abandoned shop doorway, was just lucky I found it. Obviously that’s not the fault of the retailer
