La Yamaha EMX5 est une powermixer analogique appréciée pour sa construction solide, son ampli intégré et sa prise en main directe. Pour les petits groupes, les salles de répétition et les petites scènes, c’est une solution tout‑en‑un pratique avec des effets utilisables et une réduction de larsen de base. Les utilisateurs citent souvent la fiabilité et la rapidité de mise en œuvre comme principaux atouts. En contrepartie, ce n’est pas une console numérique moderne : les options de routage, de mémorisation de presets et de traitement avancé restent limitées. L’ensemble est aussi plus lourd et moins modulaire qu’un système composé d’une console numérique et d’amplis séparés. Elle convient surtout aux acheteurs recherchant une solution simple, robuste et rapide à installer, et qui accordent moins d’importance aux fonctions numériques ou à une forte évolutivité.

This unit was sorely needed by my duo. We needed good power in a compact, rack-mountable PA. It's is not as small as I'd prefer but the rack-mounted option closed the deal. (Note that Yamaha does not include rack-mount kit; it is sold separately and is not cheap. We passed on that and I had enough hardware to fabricate my own mount). In a rack I 'm able to keep it cabled to other toys, power,etc., so all we use is in one Anvil case. Wattage is more than adequate and we sound much cleaner. Yamaha needs to include the rack kit. It would help their image.

Really an 8 channel mixer. Very good chorus and reverb effects. Stereo channels very effective. This is the third Yamaha mixer for me so obviously I like them. The EMX -7 has a graphic equalizer but this one doesn't. It has a one knob parametric thingie. Seems to do the job. Worth the money.
