Allen & Heath ZED-16FX console de mixage USB avec effets

Allen & Heath has always made the perfect mixing desk for me

I read some good reports about Allen & Heath mixers and decided to buy this one for live gigs. First of all I have a Behringer Mixer that's is half the price of this Allen & Heath, and in my opinion it is better quality. The channel faders on the Behringer has a nice smooth resistance when you operate them. The channel faders on the A &H feels as if you held the mixer in the vertical position they would all move by themselves, they are horrible. Also the built in effects are practically useless for vocals. Most of the built in effects are of no use. Why don't manufacturers realise that effects built into mixers for live work need to have good usable Fx mainly for vocals, 95% of the effects should be aimed at vocal sound, not fancy Fx that are unusable. Most musicians in a band have their own personal Fx units for their instruments and do not rely on a mixing desk providing the sound they want. I am not very impressed with this Allen & Heath mixer

This ZED is equipped with USB1.1 which is too slow for recording with new computers running USB2 and/or USB3. However, I like the Duo preamp on the Mic channels. I can distinguish different sound quality from different microphones and XLR cables. If digital recording is your prime consideration, I would recommend you to go for other options.

Allen and Heath Mixer sounds so much better than other mixers. They sound warm and musical / natural sounding. There are no unnecessary hyped up highs and upper miss. Sounds more natural and easy to listen to compared to most mixers that get tiring and fatiguing after a while.

Rock solid construction, Good effects for he price range and good feature of sending effects through stage monitors. I run it from the stage on a rolling stand with JBL PRX 700 15's and subs. Easy set up with powered speakers and great sound and EQ.
