L’Allen & Heath ZED‑10FX est réputée pour son châssis solide et durable ainsi que pour ses composants fiables, ce qui la rend populaire auprès des musiciens souvent en déplacement. Les préamplis et l’égaliseur 3 bandes offrent un son clair et musical, ce qui aide à placer rapidement voix et instruments dans le mix. Les effets intégrés, comme les reverbs et delays, sont pratiques pour les concerts et les petites productions, évitant d’emporter un rack d’effets séparé. La console propose également de nombreuses connexions et des possibilités de routage flexibles dans un format relativement compact, idéal pour les petits groupes, artistes solo et salles de répétition. Un inconvénient souvent cité est que l’interface USB n’envoie qu’un signal stéréo à l’ordinateur et pas les canaux séparés, ce qui limite la liberté de mixage dans la station audionumérique. La section d’effets est fonctionnelle mais pas extrêmement poussée en termes de réglages. Pour ceux qui recherchent surtout une table de mixage analogique robuste et portable avec une fonction d’enregistrement USB simple, cela reste un choix très attractif.

I needed an FX unit. Our old outboards were failing. Economically, ergonomically and pragmatically simpler to purchase the wee A&H with the onboard FX. Subjectively the mixer has a warm, clean sound. The onboard effects are more than adequate; surprisingly versatile. I've been using ZED10FX for a month now, engineering small gigs, open mics, disco, karaoke, conferences and have not experienced any shortcomngs in the unit. I haven't needed the USB out record facility on this yet. The record out on the big A&H was superb. I have no doubt the ZED10FX will perform just as well as its big brother, should the talent want a trophy of their work

For $500, this is hands down the best mixer you can buy. The pre amps and general sound you can get out of this unit are amazing. And the FX are great, more than usable in a live or studio context. I was a little concerned about the line inputs imparting colour to the signal, as I needed to run an external pre amp into one of the line inputs for EQ and FX - but there is no colouration whatsoever! The signal from my ISA One sounds exactly the same whether I use the headphone out on the ISA, or if I run it as a line input to the Zed and use the Zed headphone amp. It sounds exactly the same - mission accomplished! But the 4 mic pres in the Zed sound fantastic on their own, and the DI inputs also sound great. The service from Sounds Easy was top notch, as it always is. Not only did they price match for me, but also included free shipping. One happy customer all round, thank you Allen and Heath and Sounds Easy :-)

This looks like exactly the same features and specs on the zed 10fx I've been using for five or six years now. I play a lot of gigs, both as a solo performer and with a band. I run it into two mackie thumps (just one for small venues) and the sound is outstanding. No di is needed for my acoustic/electric guitars. The mic preamps are clean. I've dropped it a couple times and it still works fine. I can run prerecorded music when needed and it all sounds great. On rare occasions I might wish I had a couple more inputs, but it really suits my purposes fine. I just use a little reverb on vocals so I can't judge the effects beyond that.If you need a good sounding, reliable mixer this is an excellent choice! I've had soundcrafts, mackies and even rane mixers and this by far in my opinion has the cleanest sounding preamps.
