I highly recommend Evoluent Mice. I have one at home and one at work. After about a week of use I could feel the difference in my wrist and forearm. Less fatigue.

I moved from a Microsoft Natural Wireless Mouse 6000. The 6000 looks like a physically diluted, but equally high quality, knock-off of the Evoluent. Been using the Evo for a few weeks, always telling myself I'll adjust & get used to the new mouse. it isn't happening. The MS is far more comfortable & is better designed. It's just all-around better.

There is a bit of a learning curve. The first time I used a vertical mouse, my hand kind-of cramped. Once your hand gets used to the new field of motion, it's extremely comfortable!! I like the mouse...but I'll be honest, the Microsoft Natural 9000 (which looks like a total rip-off of this Evo) is better. There is a good chance I'm going to switch back to the Microsoft.

This mouse basically eliminated all wrist pain I was having at work. It was a lifesaver at the time. It also eliminates the wear and tear on the lower right part of your palm. With this mouse the fleshy part of your palm contacts the desk. I still use a normal mouse at home but have never developed wrist pain again. The programmable buttons work well.

I recently started a programming course at my university and noticed stiffness and pain appearing in the wrist of my mouse-hand. It got really worrisome when my fingers started tingling. I was in no mood to pick up carpal tunnel at what might be the start of a career in computers, so I came to newegg and found this mouse recommended under their office ergonomics promotion. An absolutely terrific investment; I've noticed a steady decrease in stiffness and the pain has all but gone away. I purchased this early on before I developed advanced symptoms but I feel confident that even those who have carpal tunnel already would greatly benefit from this device (and other reviews seem to testify to this too). I would also highly recommend downloading an anti-RSI software which forces users to take breaks from the computer. The break times are usually customizable and free software is available for both Windows and Mac. Just google "anti-rsi Windows" or "anti-rsi mac".
