Reoccurring monthly expense. You are buying a Ring Bell for which you have to pay monthly subscription. Imagine if someone starts charging you monthly for having a door bell at home.

I bought this as a birthday present for an 80 year old for better security and peace of mind. At that age there’s not much that they don’t already have.

The battery runs out very quickly I am not happy with it. I have had battery ring doorbell before it lasted much longer

It was easy to install, downloaded the app to my phone and I can see and speak with people at the door without opening it. I particularly like dogs barking chime if the door bell is pressed. Instantly puts people on the back foot. I also like the ability to subscribe to ring so the recording can be kept if needed. I've also purchased a second one, as a gift. I highly recommend it.

easy install, works well. Disappointed about not able to turn of blue ring when on power, and that you have no choice but to have a cloud account with them, to save who comes to the door where as my other door bell camera has an SD mini card to record to and it backs up there not just the cloud like the ring. but in saying that it easily connect to alexa with out a problem where my other door bell has trouble. I do like the pre recorded voice as i get mostly parcels so it auto response is leave parcel at front door.
