L'Asustor AS6508T est un NAS 8 baies puissant avec un réseau rapide grâce aux doubles ports 10GbE et 2.5GbE. La RAM est facilement extensible à 32Go, ce qui le rend adapté à un usage professionnel intensif. Les deux emplacements M.2 NVMe offrent un cache SSD rapide. La qualité de fabrication est solide et le NAS fonctionne silencieusement, ce qui est apprécié en bureau. Les inconvénients sont le prix élevé, un processeur qui peut être limité pour l'agrégation 10GbE ou les applications exigeantes, et des tiroirs de disques pas totalement sans outil. Le design est aussi jugé un peu daté. Globalement, c'est un excellent choix pour ceux qui ont besoin de beaucoup de stockage et de vitesse, mais il faut tenir compte du prix et des limites du CPU.

Got mine elsewhere at 30% less cost. Got it to replace a Windows LGA 775 system and Highpoint 2720 SGL. Asustor is not as multi-functional but it's more compact. No initial setup issues but sometimes is not "seen" by my computer and I have to run the Asustor Control Center and overwrite the Internet Explorer favorites shortcut. Not a big deal once you figure it out. I use the unit for archiving BluRay transcodes by mapping a folder created on the unit as a network drive. Had it over a month and am happy with it so far.

Until Asustor gets some US based support or can respond to issues within less than 3 weeks, avoid the brand. Products that cost over 2,000 with drives should have better support options available. I love Asus, and have used it reliably for years, but again those products are a couple hundred bucks typically and can be replaced pending an RMA. This is a different ballgame and Asustor isn't prepared to support critical applications.

So far it has been working really well. I have been playing with all the features, and there are a lot. So I am still figuring out how to do everything I want to. But so far I am really happy. The help has been good and the online interface is very easy to use.
