Superb lens really sharp one of the best Nikon Z lenses there is

Focus Breathing: NONE! Pretty impressive. And this is all I need from a Zoom lens. Sharpness: Beyond expectation. There are no purple or blue lines around the subject in focus. Feel: Sturdy and heavy. I like this feel, but others may need to use a tripod for long shooting sessions. Quietness: When I press the shutter halfway or the AF-ON button, I can hear the focus motor on the lens working quietly and constantly. This makes me nervous because I don't know if it works that way or if this is a defective unit. Bokeh: It's fine. This lens has 9 diaphragm blades, so I don't expect much from it. (Nikon has only three lenses so far with 11 blades: 85mm F1.2; Plena; and Noct). Other than that, this lens is amazing.

Just upgraded my 70-200 FL to this Z version. The quality is amazing. I shot an indoor event from the back of the auditorium with no flash… The quality is so good I will not be replacing my F mount prime lenses in this range which saves carrying around multiple lenses and losing shots when switching lenses. This lens works well for portraits, sports, action, wildlife, birding, close up work, and even landscapes. The 2.8 pro zooms are staples in my bag. Because this is a fast 2.8 lens, it works well handheld even with TCs. Do not hesitate to grab this amazing lens.

Used with a Z9, emphasis has been put on picture quality with weight considerations coming in second. So a perfect image from a slightly heavy lens. But it’s mated to a Z9 anyway so was always going to be heavy. This lens should be more expensive than it is. It’s simply that good. The Ken’s has been used on everything from wildlife to rowing to live music and always give an excellent image what ever the project. I can’t recommend it enough if you’re looking for a 70 to 200 for your Nikon Z camera.

This is Nikon best professional 70-200mm f2.8 lens of all lenses Nikon ever made. Sharper and faster focus than the F mount E lens. VR is very good. The 1.4x tekeconverter doesn't degrade pictures quallity that much compare to the old telecnoverter on the F mount. heavy but excellent build quality. The focus ring position needs some time to get used to the reverese direction.
