After losing the bag I had for my 16-35 I tried to squeeze the lens into others. Fail. Shoiuld have done this a while ago. Perfect fit (of course).

I really don't get the value of these cases. In the description they call it a pouch which is definitely more accurate. The biggest value is that you include it in your description when re-selling a lens. But DON'T LOSE IT, because if you do happen to sell a lens, you're out $$if you want to include it in the box.I can see how they can serve in very SAFE storage situations, but really they are quite pointless in the field or on the go, in my experience.

Given that you spend into the thousands of dollars for L lenses, you'd think that Canon could offer a bit more protection for your investment into their products. On the flip side, if they provided you with a proper case, imagine what the cost of their lenses would be then....?!So, it's a pouch with a drawstring - nothing more, nothing less - not a lens case as the product description suggests.

These will help keep the expensive lenses from getting beat around. Good quality from Canon.

Nice protection for your lens when they are not in use. Much better than just placing a loose lens in a bag and having it damaged.
