Sadly, our old Kenwood died after sooooo many years. Like so many of these Kenwoods, my wife inherited hers from her mum some 35yrs ago and it was already old then. But it died and the cost of repair was nearly the cost of a brand new unit. The new unit is more powerful and comes with a 5yr warranty. The repair only came with a 12mth warranty. So here we are with a new mixer. Not much has changed. It's a basic mixer without all the bling that comes with the higher models. It's heavy, stable and has plenty of grunt. I have every reason to believe that my wife will pass it on one day and it will soldier on just like the old one did.

This mixer is incredible, well built, quiet, stable, and powerful. Readily and effectively mixes our cake and dough mixes. Clearly the machines use, and functionality has been well thought out by the manufacturer
