Purchased the QB1000 in my setup having had an LS12000 for 3 years. I have the projector directly overhead suspended from the basement ceiling. The light output is significantly higher at eco minimum levels than the LS12000 so I am getting a nice increase for the same minimum fan noise. Makes a big difference in my setup The Dynamic Tone Mapping is very good (actually I am concluding it is brilliant) compared to a fixed level. I really wouldn't want to be without it now I have used it. On the LS12000 SDR content looked correct and HDR had strengths, but alway left me fiddling with the settings to get it looking right. Epson's DTM somehow gets it spot on. The ALLM works perfectly with my XBOX so remembering to switch from fine to fast is no longer needed. In short I think the QB1000 is a brilliant projector.

Upgrade from my beloved Epson EH-TW9300 following a Cinema filter failure. My word is this projector bright ! Still capable of good blacks (for a projector anyway !) It's quiet as long as it's running under 85% (which is way more than bright enough !) and handles HDR beautifully with its in built tone mapping feature. No 3D unfortunately otherwise it would have got 6 stars :) Big Shout out to the Gentelmen in Leeds Derrek, Chris & especially Mikey who went way above & beyond when I encountered problems which were nothing more than non 48Gbps older HDMI cables and the limitations of HDMI 2.0 on my older Denon reciever. Lowering the EDID settings on the projector menu to 10Gbps can give you a 4k 24fps HDR 10 to watch something & save you the same nightmare flickering on & off problems as I encountered until a truly Genuine & Certified 48Gbps HDMI cable can be installed to get the projector's full potential 4k at 120hz with HDR via a PS5 or similar source.

Projector owner for over 20 years. Always Epson. Recently bought the QB1000 and delighted with it. The increased brightness over the 12000 is worth the extra cost. Source material often varies and the true 4k plus xtra lumens lifts the quality to excellent at this price. Six year warranty included!
