I have been using this for a couple months now and I am extremely happy. Both my gravel and my mountain bikes are secure. Installation is a breeze for me. I am 6’1 so I can see how it would differ for someone shorter than I am. I have the Thule crossbars with the T Slot on my ‘26 Crosstrek and it is honestly the perfect setup for what I need.

I have this on top of a mid-size SUV. Getting a 35lb mountain bike in to the rack can be a serious challenge. So far as I can tell there is only one technique which makes it a moderately acceptable experience (laying the bike completely horizontal (with the wheels sort of sitting in the wheel cradles) and then tilting it upwards in to place). Considering this is about the only 'easy' method to get a bike it to bet a moderately heavy MTB in to this carrier there seems to be several simple improvements that would make this process a LOT easier. I'm not sure there are any Roof racks that are substantially 'better' but as a person who is physically stronger than average I would not buy this again because of how unpleasantly challenging it is to get bikes in safely (I hate to think how many people have smashed their sunroofs attempting to put bikes on one of these).

I bought this because I needed a bike rack for my audi wagon and didn't want to do a hitch rack after installing this rack im kinda of wanting to go back on my thoughts a little but I think if you drive normally and not super fast which I find my self doing then its a great bike rack AS LONG AS YOU READ DIRECTIONS. I put this on and the arm didnt fully clip and the bike almost came off. PLZ READ DIRECTIONS

I bought this last week, and noticed when I got home that it is fastened to the crossbars with large plastic "nuts", that are easily removed by hand. What's going to stop a thief from loosening the nuts and walking away with the rack and bike? The bolts appear to be 3/16", accessible, and easy to cut.

The front wheel holder/arm disengaged while driving my car. I’m 100% certain I did lock that in. Bike fell over and broke the rear wheel holder. And It damaged my car!
