Le Pirelli Winter SottoZero 3 est un pneu hiver sportif axé sur la sécurité par temps froid et changeant. Les tests et avis d’utilisateurs mettent en avant son excellente adhérence et ses courtes distances de freinage sur route mouillée, ainsi que sa bonne traction et son contrôle sur la neige et même sur la glace. La stabilité à haute vitesse et la direction prévisible sont également souvent citées, ce qui rassure surtout sur les véhicules lourds ou puissants. Pour un pneu hiver, le niveau de bruit est jugé assez faible et le confort de roulage bon. En contrepartie, l’usure peut être plus rapide que sur certains rivaux si l’on fait beaucoup d’autoroute ou de conduite dynamique, et le prix d’achat se situe dans le segment premium. Le mélange hiver entraîne aussi une résistance au roulement un peu plus élevée, ce qui peut légèrement pénaliser la consommation ou l’autonomie des véhicules électriques. Ce pneu convient donc surtout aux conducteurs qui privilégient la sécurité et les performances en hiver plutôt que le coût par kilomètre le plus bas.

I live on Vancouver Island and, due to a lack of snow and my limited driving, I cannot comment on the Sottozero 3's performance as a winter tire in the five months I've owned them. In terms of wet weather performance, road noise, handling, etc., they met or exceeded my expectations. Maybe next year I'll be able to verify how these tires rate in snow and ice. Service from 1010 Tires was excellent. I recommend these tires.

So I haven't driven with these tires in snow yet, but if they are as good in snow as they are in rain then they will be amazing snow tires!! They instill confidence while driving, especially in the rain. Only problem I find is that they wear quite quickly, especially with spirited driving in the dry. So far they seem like the perfect tire for our Vancouver weather that gets lots of rain and some times a little snow! I looked for a long time for a set of good performance tires what would work well in Vancouver's winter climate, after reading a lot reviews I truly believe I found a winner with these tires.
