La plaque induction Whirlpool SMP 778 C/NE/IXL offre une grande flexibilité avec 8 zones et une fonction pont, facilitant l'utilisation de grandes casseroles. La surface iXelium résistante aux rayures et les commandes tactiles intuitives rendent l'utilisation quotidienne agréable. La sécurité est assurée par le verrouillage enfant et la surface froide. Attention : une connexion 2 phases est nécessaire et l'installation peut être technique, surtout que la prise Perilex n'est pas incluse. Il manque aussi une horloge intégrée à l'affichage. Ce modèle convient surtout à ceux qui cuisinent beaucoup et recherchent une plaque moderne et sûre.

Been using this hob for about 1 month and so far have found no problems at all. Touch screens are responsive although a bit dated in their appearance. We paid more than equivalent hobs to get the iXelium coating and so far it has proved worth while with no sign of marking or scratching.

Good Points: I am an experienced cooker who cooks for her family every day. Because of that, I haven't used the fancy pre-settings and cooking suggestions yet but just cook as I used to cook before. BUT I had a gas cooker before, so I didn't know what to expect from an induction one. It is unbelievably close to a "gas cooker" cooking experience but better. You can instantly feel the change of settings. Very easy to combine zones and to set timers for different zones. Very easy to clean, even during cooking as the surface is not hot elsewhere, only under the cookware. Improvement Points: The sliding touch controller is very sensitive, sometimes it is tricky to set it to the desired setting. The beeping at the end could be louder, sometimes I can't hear that it is finished. (maybe it can be changed, I hadn't looked yet).

Great product, works very well with no issues at all. Even the touch screen behaved perfectly unlike some other reviews. Particularly like the setting to adjust the maximum power drawn from the mains. Set mine to 6kw as it was on a 32A Circuit breaker so it was well below the breakers trip point. Still has lots more power than the Halogen hob it was replacing.
