Yves Saint Laurent MYSLF est un eau de parfum boisé-floral moderne construit autour d’une bergamote de Calabre fraîche, d’une fleur d’oranger marquée et d’un fond de patchouli et d’Ambrofix. La fragrance est souvent décrite comme très accessible, accueillante et idéale pour obtenir des compliments, dans un esprit proche de certains parfums « bleus » populaires comme Dior Sauvage ou Bleu de Chanel. Elle se montre donc très polyvalente, convenant à presque toutes les saisons et aux contextes décontractés comme plus formels, de jour comme de nuit. Les performances sont généralement bonnes, avec environ sept à huit heures de tenue et une projection sensible sans être envahissante. En parallèle, de nombreux passionnés estiment que MYSLF n’apporte pas grand-chose de vraiment nouveau et peut paraître un peu prévisible, surtout au vu de son prix assez élevé. Pour ceux qui recherchent avant tout un parfum YSL sûr, moderne et facile à porter, cela reste toutefois un excellent choix polyvalent.

A few years ago, I only owned one signature fragrance, and this was the first one that impressed me more. Even today, Myself is my all-time favorite designer fragrance. Now that my interest has also shifted toward niche fragrances, I have to admit that I prefer many other fragrances to this one. But one thing you can definitely say is that Myself is an absolute compliment magnet, at least for me, and I still wear it frequently despite my now extensive selection of niche perfumes. Wonderful citrus, fresh, elegant masculinity in the bottle + the typically generic designer synthetics, which overall round it off more than they detract from it.
