Cartier Déclaration Eau de Toilette est un grand classique boisé-épicé pour homme, doté d’une identité très marquée. L’accord de cardamome, d’épices et de bois est régulièrement loué pour sa qualité et son raffinement, et beaucoup le considèrent comme un choix adulte et élégant pour le travail, les événements formels et les soirées. La tenue est généralement excellente, avec un sillage net qui permet de tenir toute la journée avec quelques pulvérisations. En contrepartie, ces facettes épicées et légèrement amères rendent le parfum plus clivant : certains le trouvent trop sec ou trop sérieux, surtout s’ils sont habitués à des fragrances sucrées ou très fraîches. Sous une forte chaleur estivale, Déclaration peut aussi devenir un peu lourd. The beautifully complex top note is worship-worthy. It is indescribable, with its scent notes coming through so distinctly. In the drydown, it remains just as perfect. This fragrance is a solid 10 and lends the DNA to many, if not countless, fresh men's fragrances. Every time I wear this scent, I simply feel good, nearly unbeatable, it really boosts me. Here, labels, prestige, price, or anything else don't matter. What counts is the complete work of art by Jean-Paul Ellena. He has already proven that he has the talent! A must-have in the collection! Actually, I had bought the fragrance for autumn; I would see the woody-spicy notes more as a warming scent for cold days - until now. Two sprays were enough to catapult it high up on my spring list. Even after a good five hours, this wonderfully robust scent keeps coming to my nose as I move, and I feel like I am standing in an old East Frisian mill: around me, old wooden beams and dried black tea. It smells much more rounded and harmonious on (my) skin than on paper and is a strong candidate for a signature scent from autumn to spring!
