I will never forget how it all began. Bruno Banani Magic Man was the very first fragrance I chose for myself, and it changed my world, quite literally :) For me, it was something very special. Today I have to say, well, it definitely gets better, but it reminds me of that time. It is a part of my story; every spray I still make reminds me of back then. Of a carefree time. I like the spicy freshness of black pepper and nutmeg. Unfortunately, the scent doesn't last as long as many cheaper fragrances available on the market. Nowadays, I use it less often, as there are definitely better alternatives, but still, it is a journey into the past for me :)

...and once again a fragrance from my youth. I hope I'm not getting on the nerves of the Parfumo community with this. But the Magic Man Eau de Toilette was a must-have back then to seem somehow "hip". The opening is oriental, spicy, and herbal. I detect peppery hints, incense, cardamom, and a bit of nutmeg. The heart note is nutty and floral with a touch of allspice. The base is woody with a green-earthy patchouli note. The longevity is decent, but the sillage is not particularly remarkable. EDIT 13.03.2024: Now, as part of a collection liquidation, I managed to get a bottle of the fragrance. Here I noticed that it doesn't smell like incense, but rather quite sweetly like cocoa. The longevity is quite weak at around 3 to 4 hours, and the sillage is hardly noteworthy.

The trademark of Bruno Banani perfumes is their crooked bottles. Let's see if the Magic Man is just as quirky as the bottle. After testing Dangerous Man, I originally had no desire to try another Banani. However, one shouldn't judge all fragrances of a brand based on just one. At first, after spraying it on, I expected citrus notes, which were actually absent. That was already interesting. What is rather unusual for men's fragrances are the floral components, which come from lily of the valley and marigold. This smells good, but for a man, it's simply way too sweet. There are other flowers that suit a man much better.
