I used this lens for the first time a few days after I purchased it. I am pleased with the sharpness of the photos and the ease of using it.

I wanted a lens for my Fuji X-T5 that would help me reduce the number of Fuji lenses I carry when I am walking around town taking photos. Specifically, I wanted to replace the kit lens (16-80mm) and 70-300mm lens. Unfortunately, the photos taken with this lens are not as good as the pictures I take with the Fuji lenses I own, so I ended up returning it. I am scoring 3 stars because it is still a good lens for the money if you cannot afford to purchase the Fuji lenses or simply want to save money. I highly recommend bringing your camera to the store and trying lenses before buying to ensure you get what you want. This company provided a great shopping experience. Thank you.

This was a great lens for the price. It was £100 off when I bought it so even better. The quality is slightly lesser than my Fuji 55-200mm but the extra reach and versatility makes up for it.

On the basis of price and performance we’ve given Tamron’s 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3 Di III-A VC VXD lens an Editor’s Choice award and recommend it to people seeking a ‘do-everything’ lens for general photography. This lens is a good match for the X-T series camera bodies because it is relatively light and well-balanced. A useful choice for travellers and those looking for a walkaround lens, the Tamron 18-300mm is also small enough to be relatively inconspicuous, making it good for street and sports shooting.

Bought this as an all-rounder lens for my X-T, ready to take on holiday next year where space is a premium. Opinion so far - a cracking wee lens. Macro photos have been great, full zoom photos of birds are in pin sharp focus and the wide angle photos have been clear and sharp. Haven't had the chance to try it on birds in flight yet. There is greater contrast in the photos maybe than I have with my Fujifilm -mm but I've made a couple of changes to settings within the camera so we'll see how it goes and the detail is all there in the shadows when editing the RAW photos so it's not a big deal. In fact, not sure whether the -mm lens will find its way back onto the camera again!
