This is my 4th Sigma, I could not be happier!! The auto focus is spot on right out of the box, no calibrating, no adjusting, no nothing............! The contrast is as good if not better than the other brands and half the cost $$$$$! I can't say enough, you won't be disappointed! Happy shooting King of Beasts Inspirational Photography!! L&L

I compared this to my Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8 and the results are excellent. No need to adjust the autofocus with my D850. I tried the Nikon 24-120mm f/4 VR lens but the images were so soft that it was not going to be a suitable replacement for the 24-70mm lens. This Sigma is another story altogether and a definite choice for a wide to normal zoom lens for photography on my overseas travels. Only downside is the filter size is not the standard 77mm found on most Nikon lenses.

This lens takes very good pictures, comparable to the Canon 24-104L lens which died on me. It is a little heavier than the Canon but not so much as to be bothersome. An it is $300 less expensive than the Canon. The zoom is a little stiffer than the Canon but I have grown to like that.
