The lens price was also a little more competitive than elsewhere, which prompted me to buy from them rather than a big name store.

Bit of a beast!! Certainly not a light lens but great quality - glad I purchased.

I bought this lens mainly for shooting live music gigs, but with the added bonus of 1:1 macro for copying slides/negs. I haven't tried the macro bit yet but have used it at a couple of gigs and the performance is stunning. Excellent service from Castle Cameras too, as always.
