Legionary Lens and desirable so. Unsurpassed image quality and build quality at a great price.

Very versatile and now available cheaper now that the "Z" version has arrived. Perhaps a slightly lower contrast than the 24 1.4 and 35 1.4 primes I use but fine in less bright light. Can do so much with it. Easy ductile handling; I prefer to manually focus mine using the D850 focus comfirmation bottom left of the finder and this works fine. Sharp across the frame.

NOT up to date anymore; there are better + cheaper lenses for digtal camera's ; Tamron 15-30mm for instance - NOT worth the new price in 2021 Paid 700$ second hand and sold it ASAP

Even in low light situation, the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 14-24mm f/2.8 produce sharp wide-angle images even in full zoom. It also reduces chromatic aberrations and lens flares. I purchased my Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 14-24 mm f2.8 lens way back in 2011. Here it is, 2021, and I still have my lens and use it often during travel.
