Fujifilm XF 50-140 mm f/2.8 R LM OIS WR

This lens is exactly as described: super sharp, outstanding resolution on an XT-. I am sure the linear motors must have been upgraded since this lens was first introduced as AF is fast and silent. Early reviews suggested AF was noisy. Although lighter than a full-frame -mm F., with which it is meant to compete, this is nevertheless a heavyweight in the Fuji lineup. If trekking with it, I suggest a backpack rather than an sling. Its reach means it has limited utility for wildlife photography but can certainly nail the AF. The quality of the images certainly makes up for the weight. As others have observed it is like having a bag full of primes. It’s a lot of fun.

Excellent lens for sharpness/focus. Bought after reading a number of reviews all raving about focus/sharpness which is true. None mentioned the faint mechanical noise you can hear during operation of the zoom/focus. So it is near silent vs silent which is a little offsetting at first but you get used to it and certainly is not noticeable in any environment with noise around you.

Yesterday I bought The Fujifilm XF 50-140 F 2.8 RL M WR this reminds me a lot like Fujifilm XF90mm F/2 but I must admit it is a very sharp lens worth the money.
