Fujifilm XF 16 - 80 mm f / 4.0 R OIR WR

Happy to use this as a walk-around lens when I do not want to be burdened by lens changes, without feeling that I am compromising too heavily between convenience and performance. The IS comes in handy when used with no IBIS bodies too.

This lens combines function, utility and quality in harmony. It is a sharp lens throughout the focal range, gives true colour reproduction, solid image stabilization and a great price. I own many XF lenses and this one deserves its dedicated Fuji camera body.

As with all Fuji lenses, quality decent. Good sharpness in centre wide open and at all normal working apertures, as you would expect from a zoom extreme edges do suffer but for the vast majority of people this will not be any real issue as DOF also plays a significant roll in this aspect as well. Lens balances well, have used on a variety of Fuji bodies, have used on an Xpro, XH, XT and an XE without any problems. Close focus capabilities are good and have used for a product shoot for someone who was delighted with results and could not differentiate between shots taken with his lens v ones taken with a good prime. Size and weight make this a great travel lens particularly when partnered with the - and combination would cover most situations your likely to encounter.

Cannot really fault this lens although I do not shoot video and therefore can only speak from a photographers point of view. Image quality is first rate and I appear to have a good quality controlled lens. Perfect as a do-it-all lens with exceptional OIS which works equally well on/off a tripod.
