Bought this lens for both photo and video of motorsports. The picture is crystal, the OIS is perfect, weather resistant is more accurately weather proof. Filmed with this lens in a 6 hour down pour for 2 days straight back to back and the weather sealing did its job (still recommended covering your lenses). The construction of this lens is high quality metals. The AF is fast and smart. Overall an amazing lens that can be used for anything you shoot.

Good Points: I have had similar product from a different manufacturer just a few years ago. Optically this is as good if not better. The design of the tripod ring is far superior - easy to fix and remove. Handheld on an XT4 the balance is good and the focus, aperture and other controls fall easily to hand. Improvement Points: Some people do not like an electronic aperture control. I have not qualms about it except that the setting cannot be viewed on the barrel of the lens. This true of all lenses on the X series Fujifilm cameras. Extending the lens works well but could be a little less stiff. though obviously some friction is essential. Cost - but I guess you get what you pay for.

This lens is an overall bargain. I migrated to the X-T3 from Panasonic after repeated issues with low light performance and poor focusing abilities. Happy to say that this lens is an improvement over the more expensive Olympus 300mm f/4 I had been using for wildlife shots. What it loses in stops is easily made up for by the great low light performance of the sensor in the camera. Image quality is surprisingly good. No issues at all that I can tell. Lens is fairly sharp, yields great color and contrast and is a manageable size and weight. This isnt a high end lens - so all of this is relative to price. I rented the very expensive Fuji F/2 super-Tele and that really emphasized that you get what you pay for. Why 4 stars? Autofocus is much better than the Panasonic G9/Olympus 300 kit, but it still doesnt compare to the Nikon D750/Super-zoom combo I replaced a couple of years ago. New isnt always better - but thankfully it is much, much lighter. Very happy overall.
