I bought this lens on sale at Henry's and I absolutely love this lens. It is as good as my older 18-55 f2.8-4 but with more than double the telephoto length. It is a smooth zooming lens with the Fuji Aperture Ring and stabilization.

Good Points: I have several Fuji lenses, but did not buy this one as it had a poor review. That was only one, so after two years I risked it, though I was worried - was I wasting my money? The lens is fantastic. It IS sharp, a great carry-around, and I just wish this had been my first lens! My favourite of all is the 50-140, but it is not possible to tell which of those lenses took a particular photo. It may not be as sharp in the corners wide open to a pixel-peeper with a loupe as the 50-140, but I'm not bothered. It takes sharp, contrasty photos. Improvement Points: The ONLY thing I don't like is that at the long end it extends too much. That's the design, though, and I will happily live with it.

People said this is like no other 18-135 and I had my reservations but it is true. Its very sharp, very very sharp. Very fast AF, weather sealing, I cant find a fault in this lens

I previously gave this lens three stars. I revisited the same location where I had made my judgement of this lens and rephotographed the same subject matter. Only difference was I had the lens on my Fujifilm X T-3 instead of my X T-2. Dont know if that played any part in my re-evaluation. The lens was still somewhat slow to focus in the museum lighting but didnt hunt and was a bit quicker than my previous experience. Outside the museum in natural light the lens was very quick to focus and resulted in very sharp images. The focal length range is also very versatile. This will be one of my frequently used lenses. So far I have shot at f/5, f/8, and f/10 with no sharpness issues. .... My sample photo was shot with my Fujifilm X T-3 in acros film simulation.

I have taken my Fuji X-T1 and X-T2 all over the world, from Alaska to Russia and China. I have been amazed by the range of the lens; from wide to mid-tele. And the lens is tack-sharp. You can buy more lenses (I also have a 10-24), but really this is all you need.
