Bulova 98A227 Marine Star automatique 45mm 20ATM, Bleu, (Horloge analogique, 45 mm)

Very nice quality watch for an automatic watch. I so liked the quality, look and functionality, that I purchased a similar one in black.

Every time we visit Beaverbrooks i never get myself anything so after visiting the Exeter store yesterday (9Wed 4th) to pick-up the wife's birthday present i saw this watch and we both agreed it looked lovely. I have smallish wrists but it doesn't look too big or clunky, not 'Bling' either. The blue really compliments the gold accents with the strap having a red reverse just completes the classy look in my opinion. Must mention the ladies who served us were both knowledgeable and very personable which makes the store such a pleasure to visit.

There's nothing to dislike so far. I bought my first Bulova automatic in 1973. I wore it daily for 17 years, until an auto crash destroyed it. I have longed for another quality automatic since then, but could only afford cheap quartz watches. Until now. This watch did not disappoint. It's beautiful, and believe it or not, after almost a month, it's still within 30 seconds compared to my cell phone! My first Bulova wasn't near that accurate. I love Bulova watches! I intend to buy a Precisionist next.

Everything about this watch is perfect to me, I love the aesthetic and everything. The only thing I didn’t like is the silicone strap (despite it having a cute whale on it) but that was easily remedied by getting a blue leather strap, which fits the look perfectly. If I can find a blue leather strap with slight red streaks that’s be even better. The only problem with this watch is the accuracy. Even for a mechanical watch it noticeably deviated in the minutes after a week of use. However, that is not a dealbreaker for me but if it is for you I wouldn’t expect you to purchase from a fashion watch brand regardless.
