Dual Mode works well, as well as Game Modes. The menu has lots of customisations and the stand is a nice clean metal design.

LG for some reason decided to use only eight total dimming zones that are edge lit, which is disappointing seeing the MSRP of nearly $900 USD. Additionally, there seems to be issues with the response times with this panel and firmware supplied. I recommend checking out some of the more detailed reviews on ghosting and refresh rates, to see how those will affect you. Lastly, there are some quality issues with this monitor, as the sample I received had a very major defect in the backlighting. Overall a disappointing monitor from LG at a price point that doesn't justify the features, and poor quality control and customer service from LG in trying to resolve.

The LG 27G850A-B is good for PC gaming. It's a native 4k, 240Hz monitor with a 1080p, 480Hz Dual-Mode, giving you versatility for playing games at higher refresh rates. It also has high-bandwidth HDMI and DisplayPort inputs to take advantage of modern graphics cards. Gaming feels responsive thanks to its low input lag, and it has good motion handling at most refresh rates, but there's still blur with fast-moving objects. The main downside of using this for gaming is that it has limited picture quality. Blacks look gray next to bright highlights, and the local dimming feature fails to improve this or make highlights pop.

This monitor has good color, refresh rate, the resolution is clean, its aesthetically pleasing, it has multiple ports, the toggling for the settings is easy to manage, the only down side is the terrible signal handshake between my AMD RX 6900 XT and this monitor. This is the only reason I'm giving 3 stars. I hope there is an update in the future that may fix this for others. (Also I know my GPU is dated as well).
