I've been using an MS Sidewinder Precision 2 for over 20 years, and I finally decided to switch to this joystick. What a pleasant surprise! Top-notch build quality, diabolical precision, large number of buttons, and the different configurations for the 2 buttons on the joystick head (personally, I use it for elevator trim, so the 2 small black buttons are more suitable than the small black one and the big red one). However, there are a few minor faults: - the spring is a bit strong, and quite 'manly': it can quickly tire the wrist, for example on a helicopter or gyroplane - the base of the joystick is wide and comfortable, but it protrudes over the buttons, so it's easy to get your fingers caught in them! - the throttle slider has a very short travel and is not very precise... But these are just minor comments that in no way detract from the perfect quality and performance of this joystick, which I highly recommend!

Basically, the 6 months I've been using this joystick have gone pretty well. It's very precise, the buttons work well and it's comfortable too. But eventually the rudder axis crashed, the slightest touch caused the rudder to move wildly because its sensor was starting to have major problems, always to the left. Flight Simulator became unplayable. Despite this problem, which I imagine is not common in all cases, it's a good joystick anyway.

This is my first joystick in the post-force-feedback era and for the price my expectations were low despite the tie up with Airbus. I have been blown away at the precision and feel of this stick. The throttle is a nice feature to have until the throttle quadrant is released. Maybe then it can be repurposed for flaps or something else after that.
