I am an engineer that needed something to help with fine motor control on his hands. Amazing design. Great fun.

My fiancé loved this! It was one of his Christmas presents. It took him a few hours and he also got another connection to make it move! So cool.

I am full time employed with a mortgage, I don’t have a lot of leisure time to dedicate to just any endevour, but I love LEGO and complex engineering things so I took a chance. I crack up reading the reviews in this particular item with the kids who get it all together in 4 hours (intentional sarcasm) and then post a ho-hum “so what’s next?” review, is that supposed to impress anyone? Anyway, got to step 385 and spent nearly 45 minutes looking for several tiny (but critical) parts and simply could not find them, so I made my own make-shift substitutes and was able to move on to almost step 390, but kept coming up missing parts... so I gave up. If you have the patience to do a complete component inventory before you begin then this might be OK for you, but be prepared if you do not to find that you are missing parts and are unable to finish.

This is probably my favorite Technic set all-time, and definitely my favorite non-flagship set. The build is exceptional from start to end. It has a ton of parts for such a small model, and very good parts with a perfect color combination, it has double-function pneumatics, stickers are subtle and just take the look to the next level, the functions are perfect and fun even without the motor, PF upgrade is easy to install and having it as an option is amazing because it drops the price point to way below what this set is worth, looks great displayed. There are sets which I "like" more, but this to me is the standard of quality by which I judge all other sets.
