LEGO Creator 40518 Train à grande vitesse

I'm a novice. Didnt know this train was incompatible with the lego tracks I bought. Bought a train. Bought tracks. Got burnt

This is a product that could really explode in popularity, IMHO. If rails for it could be fashioned, and bogies for the cars made, this would be a great model train system for Lego. Who needs Brio? :-D

Although this may not be as playable as other Lego train sets but the scale (especially after putting the two train sets together) and size would be more than worth it! A very nice set piece. I hope they do a steam version next!

I purchased this Lego set to complete the build for a present I was given at Christmas, making it a four car unit, as advertised on the box. It was a good build, instructions easy to follow and satisfying end result. If I was to offer any advice, the train should be displayed with the carriage numbers at the end away from the direction of travel, except for the final motor carriage, whose number should be closest to the direction of travel, not as advised on the box.

I got the train, but I didn’t look too deep in. After I got it I realized it is only really a display piece. I was misled by the packaging where I can make a long train buy purchasing a second copy. I am at a loss as to why it just couldn’t have an undercarrriage that works on the tracks. So I’ll be returning this one for a better one.
