I got this for Christmas and I couldn't be happier not just is there a lot of playability it's also a great build I would definitely recommend and im very happy that I got it just before its retirement!

Others have already covered all the important points, and I'd just like to reiterate those most important for me. - This set has so much going on it's amazing! It's great value for money. - It's thematically consistent with the old gangster/noir films to such a degree that I was cackling with glee for the whole time of construction. - It's aesthetically pleasing and will fit well in any Lego city.

I have a few of the modulars and they all impress on their own level. The detective’s office is no exception! The build for me felt pretty simple and straight forward. The detailing isn’t on par with the Parisian Restaurant. But don’t let that fool you. This set has tons of play value. The little story that lives inside the set is where it is at! The office on the second floor is definitely something to behold! I love the outside look of it too. It feels gritty, the detective’s office above the pool hall! The barber’s shop is great too! I wish there was a little more space so my hands could fit better, but that’s okay! I just gotta be a tad more careful. There is a sink, mirror, clippers, dresser, light fixtures! I highly recommended this set!
