LEGO CREATOR 40519 New York Postcard

Legos are a new hobby for me in my older years. I have fond memories of NYC and enjoy seeing this displayed. Legos are a building puzzle that I enjoy more than I ever thought.

Came across these postcards sets before and thought they look great . Decided to get some of them and they are great the little details and iconic parts of the city make a great build . Great price point for these sets I would like to see Beijing, Paris released again so I don’t have to go on eBay !!!

I saw this in the JFK Lego Store but didn't have room left in my carry-on! A fun little build with all the landmarks we saw while there. The stickers for the Trade Center were challenging to get lined up, but my finished piece is a great way to remember my first visit to NYC. I'm even thinking of printing a sticker of a picture of me there and putting it on a square piece to attach to the cloud!

The set is a pretty good representation of NYC, but I have some gripes with the set. 10 stickers is way too many for a set of this size, and they make an otherwise nice-looking set feel cheap. As well as that, Lady Liberty's waist doesn't connect to her torso well, leading to her being split in half sometimes. It's a pretty cool souvenir from going to NYC, however it doesn't have much value besides that.

This is one of my favorite Lego series! They pack so much fun and value into a small displayable cute postcard. Only con I can think of is that they don't make more of these for more cities or landmarks.
