LEGO R2-D2 - 75308

Great set, I don't build the majority of my sets cause I like to collect them and keep them in prestine condition. I know all my sets will be worth way more money later in life!

This set was very fun to build, looks great on display, and is great value for the cost. Great minifigures as well. Would recommend for sure!

The legs and feet assembly is structurally under engineered for the loads and tolerances involved, with too few positive locking elements and an over reliance on friction and extremely tight tolerances. During assembly this causes instability, difficult alignment, and repeated re-seating of parts, and any required backtracking significantly degrades clutch performance and the overall build experience. This is a sequencing and structural design issue rather than builder error, and additional internal reinforcement or positive locking geometry would have improved assembly stability without affecting the exterior design. The finished model is stable, but the leg and foot construction does not meet expectations for a premium display set.

I got given this from my partner from Christmas and I loved every minute of it. The build was easy. R2 is very steady compared to my friends which is the bigger one. It is good value for money as it is quite steady and has a good core.
