LEGO Technic - Le Sous-marin de Recherche en Haute Mer 42201

My son loves building Lego, but he hasn't tried Technic before so this was like a little level up for him! Some bits were a little more fiddly and needed some assistance, however, the result is so cool! He absolutely adores it!

I received this product free from Influenster in exchange for my honest review. The LEGO Technic Deep-Sea Research Submarine (42201) arrived at the right time during the festivities. I gave it to my kids as a Christmas gift, and they really appreciated it. They spent a few days building it. They found the instructions straightforward to follow, had lots of fun making it from start to finish, and were able to find all the parts. Luckily, my kids are within the age range, which was perfect, and the pieces are just the right number. It's not too hard or too easy for them to build. The submarine looks great, feels solid to play with, and is placed on a shelf when not in use. The colour scheme and attention to detail really give it the "LEGO Technic" edge over others. They have really enjoyed putting the parts together and playing with the LEGO.

This is an advanced build and I was keen to persevere to see the end result. When my kid gave up, her dad took over to complete the build. It is a fascinating LEGO to spend quality time, often hours, with family.

Wow my little boy loves this really good size very durable to make very well packaged it took abit to make up but worth it very good operation good maintenance.

I love the features and details in this: the tilting and spinning propellers, the retractable claw arm, the opening hatch, and more! The only negative is that the arm is a bit loose due to some play in worm drive, but that's a small matter. All in all this is a great set with cool style that's fun to build and play with.
