This is at time of review the lightest and yet top quality optical 25mm lens binoculars in the market. Well done to Nikon! Despite being classed as a handheld, 25mm lens are actually a bit too big, including this aculon model to be put in pocket! These binoculars will perform as well as any compact in the 32mm++ range in bright enough conditions and is easier to hold at 275grams! Recommend the aculon 8 x 25 as learning experience in the handheld and compact range. The only 2 criticism i have from the package is no cleaning cloth included and the eye caps are not multi-size, meaning glass wearers will have to keep adjusting the eye cups!

I've now bought another pair to leave in my car. They are easy to use and adjust perfect clear vision I'm very very impressed.

Although these seem a good value for money product and will do everything I wanted I was rather surprised to find that it is clearly a product that has been returned and then resold without proper checking. The shoulder strap has a buckle on each end plus a small retaining clip. Instead of the strap being separate in the box as I would have expected it was already fitted but tied to the binoculars with loose badly formed knots with the two buckles on the strap and one of the keepers completely missing. The strap was then loosely wound around the binoculars. I struggled to get the knots undone and have now dumped the strap as the ends are a screwed up mess from the knots and one of the retainers is missing. I would have sent them back but I need them in the near future and they are now shown out of stock.

Compared with our other small binoculars they are very good and clear
