Team Sonic Racing propose une expérience de kart originale axée sur le travail d'équipe, où les joueurs doivent coopérer pour gagner. Les contrôles sont précis et les options multijoueurs sont complètes, en local comme en ligne. Les graphismes sont colorés et la bande-son dynamique. Cependant, seuls les personnages Sonic sont jouables, ce qui limite la variété par rapport aux anciens jeux Sega All-Stars Racing. L'IA des coéquipiers peut être frustrante, surtout en difficulté élevée, et il manque un mode battle. Le mode histoire apporte peu de profondeur. Pour les amateurs de course coopérative, c'est un bon choix, mais ceux qui cherchent plus de variété risquent d'être déçus.

For some context I played tons of racing games on the highest diffuclty and i played the first game of the series on ds so i understand how to play these games. My only issues is the scaling for any difficulty above normal is way too high, cause no matter how well i drive catching up when sent back is more difficult then it should be. Also the team system is really a set back cause if you do well holding 1st but your team cant catch up too you it usually results in 2nd or 3rd placement which gets frustrating cause it happens often even when you shower them with items to help them.

Great game, but items slow you down too much. In one race I was in first and got hit by an item and was put in seventh place.

The racing is smooth and feels slowish. But the main problem is the 3rd chapter locking of the remainder of the story with 2 unfair challenge races that i think were untested.
