Alpha Protocol PC

Decent game, gameplay didn't age well. Mission design is just awufl at times (e.g. Boss-sponges after stealth sections). Also not enough freedom to effectively use stealth. Shooting is bad. Meele is clunky but fun. Characters and dialoge are definitely the best part.

This is a classic. A game with so many potential options and branching paths the replayability is off the charts even when you've completed it with all 5 (is it 5?) character achetypes. If you can put up with some uninspired and weird gunplay it is a genuinely enjoyable experience. Plenty of progression in the form of weapon choice, purchases and upgrades so the experience is constantly changing and some leveling perks that really do make you play differently serve to keep things engaging throughout. Well worth a purchase if you've never played before

This would be my first time beating this on GOG but with every playthrough of this game i find more to love about it. I recommend this game to anyone who enjoys a fun super spy vibe and some janky but really fun builds

Alpha Protocol is buggy, janky, and definitely a mess. But, it is also busting through the seems with great ideas, and is one of the RPGs that handled reactivity to player choice the best. I highly recommend at least giving it a fair try and pushing through the early hours to really see the potential hidden beneath the rushed and troubled development. It's a game I am glad exists, and much like Jade Empire or Vampire Bloodlines, really deserves a remake, sequel or spiritual successor that takes what it does best and runs with it, while shoring up what didn't work.
