This is a brilliant game!! The characters are quirky and fun. There are lots of mini-games that you unlock during the main story - you can play these games more in the Trial Mountains, with levels quickly becoming more difficult. Great game for adults and children alike, who can enjoy the story as well as the games.

I bought this early this year and expected it to be a simple puzzle. I couldn't believe how many variations of games could be produced to 'Make 10' and how difficult the games can get - matchsticks the hardest for me - the higher up the mountains you go the greater the challenges and of course you find the hidden champs. I have now played it 3 times right through and still felt a great sense of achievement winning the final battle for the 3rd time. It will be out of the drawer again soon to start over again. Yes a bit of reading but it gives your brain a chance to recoup! Love it - by the way I'm a 65 year old grandmother......

Bought this for my bright six year old. She is very good at reading and i wanted to improve her maths by practising number bonds to 10. There are huge amounts of reading required to play the game which means it is not accessible to children at the developmental stage at which they need to learn number bonds to 10. Much more suited to older children/adults.

I bought this game for my 6 year old son to help him with his mental arithmetic on simple sums. However, the game is long winded and very boring with about three or more pages to read on the screen between each set of sums. When you finally get to the sums, there are only around two or three of them before reading begins again. If I had wanted him to practice reading I would have bought a different game. If it's maths you want to improve, then don't buy this. Apart from anything else, the reading ability you need is that of an average junior pupil and if your child is that good at reading they are unlikely to need such simple sums.

This maths game was not as good as the reviews I had heard and it wasn't that much help with my daughter's maths, which is why we bought it. She doesn;t really play with it that mich so I can only assume that it doesn't hold her attention well. Also, when I tried it I couldn;t play it that well either.
