Dragon Quest Builders FR Switch

I didnt even know this game existed til I saw the second one advertised as a game trial! I played the demo of both and bought both, though I think the first one here is actually my favorite. I dont really like minecraft, roblox, or portal knights, but this game is so addicting! Can't believe more people dont talk about these games

I actually bought this for my son, after we finished Dragon Quest Builders 2, which was one of the most amazing games I've ever played on the Switch. I was hesitant at first, since part 2 was so amazing. I figured part 1 would be a lame first attempt that needed to be "fixed" with the follow-up title, but I was dead wrong. The games are very different, each bringing a different sense of adventure and creativity. Part 2 was legendary, but part 1 was equally amazing in its own right. The story was extremely well flushed out, and no part of it needed to be "fixed". Yes, there are some new tools and abilities in part 2 that are very nice to have, but part 1 doesn't miss them at all. It stands on its own as a great adventure with compelling characters, interesting puzzles and challenges, and an overwhelming sense of satisfaction as you progress through the story.

Great builder's game, with a simple, but engaging storyline

DQ Builders 1 doesn’t have some of the QoL improvements from 2, but it’s a great game in its own and would be a fitting piece in any Dragon Quest fan’s collection.
